Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.

Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda JR. is a joyous girl power romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.

Now updated to the convenient binder version! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra curricular activities. It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

Design/Tech Production Class
Step behind the scenes and into the heart of theatrical magic! Studio G’s Design and Technical Theatre (D/T) class is more than just an exploration — it’s a full production experience. This hands-on course is part of our MainStage Production program, meaning D/T students are vital collaborators in every show.

Students will be assigned to work in one or more of the following areas: lighting, sound, microphones, backstage crew, set building, prop creation, and stage management. Whether you’re programming cues in the booth, crafting props, running mics, or calling the show from backstage, you’ll work closely with our cast and creative team from rehearsal to final curtain.

Learn from our professional designers and technicians while gaining real-world experience alongside the Napa Valley College Technical Theatre Team at the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center. From design concept to showtime, you’ll help bring the story to life—literally.
