Fall registraion opens july 5, 2025
Welcome to Studio G — a creative home where music education is rooted in inspiration, artistry, and confidence. My mission is to foster positive, meaningful musical experiences that empower students to grow, challenge themselves, and discover their unique voice — whether they’re just beginning or preparing for a professional path.
At the heart of Studio G is confidence. Watching my students grow not just in skill but in self-assurance over the years has been my greatest reward. Whether they’re stepping on stage for the first time or taking a solo at a sold-out show, seeing them stand tall — proud of who they are — is why I do what I do.
I believe music enriches every aspect of our lives — as students, performers, creators, and audience members. That’s why I emphasize healthy technique, music theory and repertoire knowledge, and, above all, expressive freedom across all genres. Music should feel natural, efficient, and deeply personal.
Giving back to our community is a vital part of who we are. Each year, our students take the lead in choosing songs and monologues for our Studio G benefit concerts at the Blue Note Napa, which support local charities and causes. These performances aren’t just shows — they’re experiences that connect our students with the power of purpose and community. It’s a joy to watch them step into those roles with creativity, care, and heart.
Some of the deepest friendships I’ve ever witnessed are formed right here — in classes, rehearsals, and backstage. Studio G is more than a studio; it’s a place where best friends are made, laughter is shared, and memories last a lifetime.
With over two decades of being “Mrs. G,” I am endlessly proud of the young people I’ve worked with — on and off the stage. They are leaders, performers, scholars, role models, and kind, capable humans. Watching them become who they’re meant to be is the true music of my life.
One of my favorite quotes continues to guide my teaching:
“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” – William Ward
At Studio G, I aim to inspire — every student, every time.
